Dr. Massar is from Dallas and relocated in June 2008 from Paris, Texas where she practiced Internal Medicine for ten years. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. After achieving her Medical Degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) in 1996, she went on to complete her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at UTMB.
Dr. Massar is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has served on the Board of Directors for Paris Regional Medical Center for three years, and was Chairperson for the Medicine Department Peer Review Committee. She is a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP), the Texas Medical Association (TMA), and her County Medical Society.
Her areas of expertise are in diagnosing and managing chronic diseases such as Diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart and lung diseases, musculoskeletal, nervous system and glandular problems. Dr. Massar evaluates and treats acute illnesses such as chest pain, abdominal pain, headaches, back pain, infections, injuries and skin disorders, as well as depression and anxiety disorders. She emphasizes annual wellness exams and preventive care including in-office Bone Densitometry, Stress Testing and Spectracell Nutritional Analysis.
Dr. Massar treats men and women over the age of 18. She has a special interest in Women's Health and well being. This includes management of menopausal symptoms, breast concerns, weight management, personalized hormone replacement, as well as, Botox and cosmetic fillers for facial rejuvenation.
Dr. Massar has two wonderful daughters and enjoys sports (running and golf), cooking, painting, spending time with family and friends, reading about medicine and doing absolutely anything outdoors.
